Kan’eiji Rikkyo bridge

Kan'eiji Rikkyo Bridge

This is an overpass connecting Ueno Sakuragi area and Negishi, Uguisudani area.

Railway lines such as the Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Joban Line pass under the bridge.

It seems that there used to be a railroad crossing to cross the tracks on the slope named “Kaneiji-zaka”, but in 1928 (Showa 3), an overpass was built under the name of Kaneiji-bashi.

The sidewalks on the bridge are very narrow, so if you want to see the railway, we recommend Ryodaishi Bridge near Ueno station or Shimogoinden Bridge in front of Nippori Station.

However, when going from Uguisudani to Nezu, or from Nezu to Uguisudani, it’s fun to stop for a while and watch the trains come and go.

Location: 1-15 Uenosakuragi, Taito-ku, Tokyo 110-0003

Access: 5 minute walk from Uguisudani Station
