Hongyoji temple

Hongyoji

Hongyoji temple is located one minute from Nippori Station in the direction of Yanaka. It’s on the other side of the 7-Eleven.

It is said that Ota Suketaka, the grandson of Ota Dokan, built it in Edo Castle in 1526, and moved to Kanda and Yanaka before moving to its current location in 1709.

Cherry blossoms are very beautiful in spring. It is said that it was once known as the “place for the moon viewing”.

Access: About 1 minute walk from the north exit of Nippori Station on the JR Yamanote Line, Keihin Tohoku Line, Joban Line, Keisei Line, and Nippori Toneri Liner.
